Trigger Pull: Trigger pull on the Umarex Colt Single Action Army CO2 Pellet Revolver is the best I have ever come across in an airgun. Being that the Umarex Single Action Army Revolvers are single action only, most of the work is done while you pre-cock the hammer. The trigger pull is under 2 pounds and has virtually no take up with a crisp release.

Accuracy: I performed my standard 30 foot back paper target shooting test using a semi-rested position, standing in the back with a sandbag up front to rest my hands on for stability. This position is nice and steady but not perfect so there is always some human factor to consider and I know at least one of the 6 shots went a bit high on account of me pulling that one shot just a little bit. Removing that one shot I kind of blew, I was able to get a very tight .75 inch grouping with the Umarex Colt Single Action Army CO2 Pellet Revolver. And looking back at the video my hold was a little on the jittery side, perhaps one too many espressos this morning...In my first portion of the FPS velocity test, I used my somewhat temperamental Chronograph shooting several 7 grain lead pellets using a brand new CO2. I really did not have much luck with my Chronograph today, it did not seem to like the lead pellets I was using? I went through 12 shots and only got 3 decent readings which were rather spread apart. 318, 484 and 333 FPS for an average of 378 FPS. I can say that when shooting the Umarex Colt Single Action Army CO2 Pellet Revolver the pellets do seem to get to the target pretty quickly and my gut estimate is that they are moving somewhere in the high 300 to low 400 FPS range.

Build Quality: The Umarex Colt Single Action Army Pellet Revolver has a mostly all metal construction other than the plastic grips and seals. The fit and finish is excellent with a great overall weight in the hand. The mechanical action of the hammer and trigger feels just like it would on a real Single Action Army revolver.

Realism: In terms of replicating a real steel Colt Single Action Army CO2 Pellet Revolver, Umarex has done a really great job with their CO2 pellet firing version. The CO2 is well hidden with the Allen key built into the handle so no ugly screw tab hanging down.

Pros:

  • Finally a current production Single Action Army Revolver!
  • Looks amazing and is a very accurate replica of the real steel old West version
  • Great weight and feel in the hand
  • Hammer and trigger action is about perfect, no take-up, very crisp and super light
  • Very well concealed CO2 with built in Allen key
  • Discreet safety location

Cons:

  • Seems really quiet to shoot, would like to see a louder more powerful version!

Comments: All I can say is we finally got our Airgun 1857 Colt Single Action Army Revolver! I have been asking the big airgun companies for this for a while and I knew it would be very popular once made available. As it turns out, not only do the "Americans" want one, but so do many folks overseas! I am really glad that time and effort was put into this version and we got such a great product that looks amazing and shoots just as good as it looks. For anyone who is interested in owning the classic cowboy six shooter, you have to make sure to get one of these super realistic Single Action historic revolvers!

Great Pellet Pistol

This pistol is my first pellet gun and compared to BB pistols the accuracy is fantastic. I love the single action mechanism for firing, definitely has the old western feel. If you love western gunslinger movies and want a very accurate pistol this is a great choice!

Beautiful pistol and deadly accurate... Or I am

I absolutely love this gun. It is a true pleasure to load, fire and just handle. The fit finish is perfect and the only down side is the plastic grips. This is a rifled barrel and shoots pellets where ever i place them. I can literally punch out the bull with one reload from 10 meters. Get lots of extra shells or a speed loader to load pellets while still in the gun. Good on co2 also. 100+ shots per. A beautiful replica. Get one while you can.

Pure Joy to Shoot

I have had my Umarex Single Action Army Colt Peacemaker CO2 Pellet Revolver for about a year now and I have to say it is an absolute joy to shoot.I initially purchased the Peacemaker for my cousin because he is an antic collector and he was looking for something to put in a set of holsters that he acquired other than the toys he had found. I was traveling at the time and had brought it to a buddys farm to show him. We set up some tin cans on a fence and began shooting. I was immediately transported to my youth watching all the western movies. I called up my cousin and told him about the Umarex Single Action Army Colt Peacemaker CO2 Pellet Revolver but that he would have to go out and buy his own. When I eventually returned home and met up with my cousin we tried it with his holsters, as he has a double rig, he turns to me and says I want two!Having shot some of the modern reel steel remakes of an 1871 Colt revolver I have to say that the Umarex Single Action Army Colt Peacemaker CO2 Pellet Revolver is a remarkable replica and for someone who cannot afford or acquire the reel steel version or just want to play around pick up this air gun! And do yourself a favor find a western style holster, as soon as you shoot it you will want to get one. It is quite accurate for a pellet gun standing holding the revolver in one hand shooting at a paper target seventy five feet I am getting a two to three inch grouping. For the scale not as accurate as a modern remake but I would have to put in in a class of a real 1871, though not having shot a real antic. It is about five percent smaller than the .45 caliber real steel counterpart, which could be because of legal issues in some territories, but it is hardly noticeable. Being an all steel construction but with a plastic handle give the airgun a nice weight. Sometimes I will just sit around the house just twirling it in my fingers and working on my quick draws. The fact that you have fake bullets to hold your pellet or BB round then have to load the cartridge like the reel steel counterpart just adds to the realism and the joy of shooting the Umarex Single Action Army Colt Peacemaker CO2 Pellet Revolver. One drawback that I find with this airgun is that additional cartridges are expensive at $10 USD or $15 CAD for six rounds as I have owned other cartridge loading revolvers like my Dan Wesson Airsoft Colt Python cartridges are about $35 CAD for twenty five rounds, that is a huge difference and they are almost the exact same thing.I would like to see a .22 Cal with a true to scale design and a bit more power would make the experience of shooting this airgun even more fun than it already is.The Umarex Single Action Army Colt Peacemaker CO2 Pellet Revolver also makes a great and safer training tool for the little ones that would like to take up the sport of shooting.
