Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Crosman DPMS SBR BB Rifle is single action only since the charging handle must be cocked first before you can shoot it. The trigger is short and fairly light but not too light that a misfire can happen easily. This M4 rifle makes for a great action shooter in semi-auto or full-auto mode!

Accuracy: My first volley was with 10 rounds in semi-auto firing mode and resulted in a tight grouping with 8 out of 10 shots landing within ¾-inches. I then adjusted the sector switch to the much more fun full-auto mode for the 15 remaining rounds and let her rip until the bolt locked back. To be honest I was fairly surprised at how tight the group was. It only spread out to about 2 inches with not too much vertical drop, so velocity remained pretty consistent.

Build Quality: The Crosman DPMS SBR is well made all around. Weighing in at 6.2 pounds, it feels sturdy and solid. There is a lot of metal both inside and out, but keep in mind the top and bottom receiver are polymer. Pretty much all the movie parts are metal, including the magazine, the internals, the buffer tube and the barrel.

Realism: The Crosman DPMS SBR is about as real as you are going to get in a blowback M4 style airgun. You can even take it apart into the top and bottom receivers like the real steal version. The blowback action gives you some recoil but more importantly offers a true single action trigger and of course the full auto ability we all love. Almost all the moving parts work like they would on a real M4, other than the forward assist which is molded into the receiver.

Pros:

  • Most realistic M4/AR BB rifle on the market
  • Full blowback operation with both semi and full auto shooting
  • Fires up to 430 FPS, over 1400 rounds per minute
  • Quadrail handguard provides room for laser and light accessories
  • Equipped with angled forgrip
  • Adjustable six position butt stock

Cons:

  • Receiver is a polymer construction
  • Magazine has a limited 25rd capacity
  • Rear buttstock is not compatible with the AR platform

Comments: There's nothing not to love about the Crosman DPMS BB Rifle! The compact SBR (short barrel rifle) setup is lightweight and agile, perfect for target practice in full-auto mode. It's easy to upgrade with your choice of RIS accessories, and comes with some pre-installed features like flip-up iron sights and an angled forward grip. With an authentic single action trigger, functioning charging handle, and powerful blowback system, this gun provides an ultra-realistic M4 rifle firing experience!

Amazing replica perfect for backyard plinking and also great for simply and safely learning the ar platform. Free shipped and delivered within BC in about 1-2 days

*FYI, I ordered this and received it in just about a day and a half I believe t. It was free shipping and I live in BC about 5 hours from vancouver, I was very happily surprised with the fast shipping. I Highly recommend this site. General Thoughts: I've had a lot of fun using this gun for backyard plinking, It's extremely satisfying not only firing, but also just holding the gun in your hands. It feels solid and looks great hanging up. My favourite thing about this gun is the replication of the AR platform, without something like this I would have never had the opportunity to learn how to safely handle this kind of firearm. This is much more easily accessible compared to completing a course, applying for a PAL and waiting to be approved. I don't have a PAL and I got into BB guns to practice and have fun in the backyard, so a replica of this level is the perfect balance. Being able to use this in my yard meant I was able to show my family and friends how to simply and safely use the gun without the added stress or fear of firing a real gun for the first time. Every person I let shoot this gun had a big smile on their face after firing in full auto, it is seriously fun and the recoil was way better than I expected having never used a blowback full auto bb gun before. Handling and customizability: The adjustable stock makes it very easy to find your most comfortable grip, The weight of the gun also feels great and well balanced and the handling feels steady and solid. The stock muzzle attachment can be removed to reveal a 14mm negative CCW threaded barrel, this is standard so you can find a lot of aftermarket parts like mock suppressors and flash hiders. You can even get some that produce a muzzle flash effect which seems like a lot of fun. The quad picatinny rails give you a LOT of room to add parts. I have a laser on the bottom rail and on top I have a scope with a second rail I can put a reflex site on. I bought these parts from amazon for about 100 bucks and they've served me well. All in all it feels great, looks great, and gives you the freedom to make it look however you want. The angle grip I forgot to mention, is very comfortable, but I find myself grabbing in front of the magazine instead of the angle grip. Durability: I brought mine up to a mountain with me to do some shooting and have a fire. The whole time we were putting the magazines and the gun on the ground back and forth which is not advisable but we never had any issue with any of the functionality of the gun and we were using it continuously for about two hours in the dirt and dust so It seems very durable for the most part. I've dropped the gun a couple times and it hardly had a scratch. I also had a BB get stuck in one of the mags springs and I pried it out after several tries. It still worked fine. Final thoughts: This is pretty biased but I rated money value a 4 because for the price (I paid $313 in total) it has provided me with hours of fun, It's helped me become familiar with the platform, and it is a great training tool that also leaves room to spend on aftermarket accessories, but at the same time for about 100 bucks more you could buy something like a SIG Sauer MPX Gen II which shoots pellets and is also great for training as it is produced by SIG Sauer, a real firearms manufacturer. This is biased and like I said the DPMS is well worth the money and you can spend that $100 difference on accessories, but I thought I'd include my thoughts since both are sold here. Quality I give a 4 because the weight is satisfying but not so heavy that it stops you from shooting for long periods, The outside of the gun is very durable and it feels solid in your hand. The mock suppressor that comes with the gun looks very nice and is easy to remove. You can also take it apart and replace/mod some internals. From what I've seen online the internals are not great, but also not likely to break for a while if you're not modifying anything. Accuracy is a 4. It's a co2 BB gun so it's not perfect, I used copper coated BBs and they seem to be effected by the wind but all this doesn't necessarily reflect on the gun. It fires straight when you would expect it to. That's my review I love the gun, I love this store, and it was all shipped from within Canada so no worry about the package being stopped ;)

Super realistic.

Feels exactly like the real thing. Mostly polymer/metal and able to be field-stripped exactly like a real AR15. The action sounds and feels real, and the slide locks open after the last shot. It can hold 2 CO2 cartridges in EACH magazine, which gives about 3-4 full magazines per CO2. Allen key comes inside the magazine, and it is very quick and easy to install and load each mag. The magazine is plastic, however, and only holds 25 rounds but the realism of the rest of the gun makes up for it. I bought the red-dot version, and it's not the best quality but still works pretty well. I've heard some complaints about the speedloader, but it works fine for me. Loads a mag in about 2 seconds. It has Picatinny rails EVERYWHERE, and a threaded barrel so you can attach a mock suppressor. Very nice product. Would recommend it to anyone.

Looks the the real deal

I added my own red dot sight and flashlight. lots of room on the picatinny rails. I purchased 1 extra mag so 3 in total which on full auto is equivalent to about 30 seconds of fun then reload time.
