Trigger Mechanism: The KWC M712 Airsoft Pistol features a trigger pull characteristic of a full blowback, single-action only firearm. It exhibits a slight initial take-up followed by a light and smooth release. In full-auto mode, continuous firing occurs as long as the trigger is pressed, though care must be taken as the gun continues firing even after BBs are depleted, due to the absence of a bolt lock-back mechanism when empty.

Shooting Precision: Determining the accurate shooting point of this pistol took some time. I realized it shot high and, after adjusting the rear sight to its lowest, began hitting the target. Aiming substantially lower was necessary for bullseye proximity. At 30 feet, the accuracy was commendable, yielding a 2-inch group from 10 shots. Full-auto mode naturally resulted in less precise, spread-out fire. The FPS performance was impressive; even with .25 g airsoft BBs, it exceeded 400 FPS on a fresh CO2 cartridge.

Construction and Quality: The KWC M712 is robustly constructed with full metal, weighing a substantial 3.15 pounds. It offers the option of a two-handed grip, using the forward magazine as a foregrip. The pistol's fit, finish, dark grey color, and convincing plastic wood grain grips contribute to its quality feel.

Authenticity: This airsoft pistol is an exact replica of the M1932/M712 Schnellfeuer, featuring all operational components including the semi and full-auto selector, working bolt, hammer, safety, adjustable rear sight, and a full-size drop-out metal magazine for CO2 and BBs.

Pros:

  • Rapid and responsive blowback action.
  • Hefty and realistic due to full metal construction.
  • High FPS and commendable accuracy.
  • Accurate reproduction of the original Mauser (M1932/M712 Schnellfeuer) with fully functional parts.
  • Crisp and light single-action trigger pull.
  • Capable of both semi-auto and full-auto fire.
  • Available in both 4.5 mm steel BB and 6 mm airsoft formats.

Cons:

  • The bolt doesn't lock back after the last shot.
  • Tends to shoot higher than intended, even at the lowest sight adjustment.
  • High CO2 consumption due to blowback and full-auto firing.

Comments:

The KWC M712 Airsoft Pistol is the fully metal version that many hoped for from Umarex. Available in both 4.5 mm steel BB and 6 mm plastic airsoft, it caters to a wide audience. Despite its tendency to shoot high, the pistol impresses with its high FPS and rapid full-auto fire rate, making it an essential addition for collectors of classic wartime pistols.

This gun slaps

Seriously impressed with this one. Fantastic weight, front heavy of course but feels real. Fairly accurate and of course that full auto. This thing just feels really nice all around, and I enjoy how the spring in the magazine isn't needlessly strong, allowing you to pull it down with ease. Overall, the feel and smoothness is just

The Chinese Hacksaw

Before WW2, China had strict import laws that banned anything larger than a pistol. These automatic M712s were used en masse to help take down the emperor and establish communism in China; regime topplers, german design and often fired sideways to make the recoil move the gun horizontally rather than vertically the Chinese Hacksaw was a force to be reckoned with and now you can have a faithful recreation. I haven't been able to find a legitimate stock for this; although the slot for it is indeed in the back of the grip. There is also some conversion kits for this gun that look like a lot of fun. Count your shots on semi, count two seconds on auto and you shouldn't have a problem dry firing the gun as often.

A bit pricey but cool to shoot

It is a bit pricey but it is cool to shoot . 2 or 2.5 mag with a co2 cartridge . At the end of the co2b cartridge will shoot full auto and drain it . Crazy rate of fire on full auto , 2 seconds to shoot the 21 bbs . Shots kind of high got to aim low . Beautiful replica

Fun and beautiful but with a few flaws

First, this is a hoot. It looks great, very much like the real Mauser. And it shoots full auto, which is great fun. It's all metal, has as accurate an action as you can expect, and many of the flaws in the original are present here (terrible sights, uncomfortable grip, nose-forward balance point in the extreme). I won't fault it for any of those: that's just superb replica detail. However, it shoots very high, about 3cm at 5m. And the bolt doesn't lock back on empty (I can appreciate why, looking at the mechanism, but still it should) and that means you'll probably fire dry once (or ten times on auto) before you realize your mag is empty. That's aggravating. I'll live.

Pure liquid wunderbar

I just received two of these in the mail this morning with a couple of extra mags and I've got to say, the full auto with the pair of them is positively schnell-furious. Hefty solid construction and a good bit of fun. Maybe a touch too hot for cqb but i am super satisfied with my purchase.

awesome gun!

the barrel keeps coming loose when u burst fire but LockTite blue keeps it secured. also the paint is rubbish but if you weather the look with a magic eraser it looks awesome. got nice weight to it and the metal seems like really good quality.. the blow-back is minimal at most but unlike the prototype the gun doesn't shoot high anymore and is really accurate...you should buy a speed loader with this gun. also it does eat a quite a bit of gas but on semi. i can get around 4 magazines with 1 CO 2. overall awesome gun

Several Glitches But Overall A Must Have

This gun is very heavy and looks just like real. There's only a few engraves on the left side of the gun and empty on the right. You will not see lots of text like "Not a Toy!"Its accuracy is very good and it does not shoot high at all. It seems that it consumes CO2 very fast. Maybe because of its high FPS.The only bad thing I can think of is that sometimes it changes to full-auto automatically when it's on Semi-auto mode. I cannot figure out what causes this but I think it's probably related to the CO2.
