Trigger Pull: The KWC P226-S5 has an awesome single-action trigger. If you're not ready, it can almost get away on you but after a couple of shots, you will easily figure out the break and release points and be hitting targets down range with ease from this super short and light trigger. It also has a double-action trigger if you decide to lower the hammer but need to take a quick shot. The blowback action is one of the heavier ones you will find on a CO2 blowback gun, and the gun itself is fairly large and on the heavy side but at the same time really well-balanced and a joy to shoot.
Accuracy: The fastest airsoft BB achieved was 327 FPS and the slowest came in at 298 FPS, with a five-shot average of 312 FPS. That might seem low but in terms of a close-range airsoft gun this is ideal. Next up for my Field Test Shooting Review, I shot 10 rounds and they all easily found their mark close together on the paper target. 8 of the 10 shots grouped within a 3/4 inch hole with 2 shots coming out just a bit, extending the grouping to about 2-3 inches. With light airsoft BBs, some shots will stray, but the fact that 8 out of 10 shots pretty much made one small hole shows that this airsoft pistol is very accurate, to say the least.
Build Quality: Very good, pretty much an all-metal construction, good weight and craftsmanship, slide wiggle is minimal, fit and finish is good. As with many of the KWC airguns that use an electromagnetic powder coating, the finish looks great but is thin so it does wear off on the high posts and where metal-on-metal movement takes place.
Realism: Compared to the real steel Sig Sauer X-Five, the KWC version is pretty close. It does have a different-looking slide with grooves or slide serrations, and there is no licensing on the KWC version. You also don't get the ugly white warning instructions so there is a trade-off here. The KWC version also comes with a fully adjustable rear sight, which is nice if your aim point is off a bit. Overall, the KWC P226-S5 is super realistic with its full blowback operation, full-size drop-out metal magazine, and ability to field strip just like the real steel Sig Sauer.

Comments: This BB pistol is styled after the modern Sig Sauer P226 X-Five. It is a very hefty gun made almost entirely from metal and has a very snappy blowback action which adds to its shooting realism. Even the magazine looks and feels like a real magazine with its similar weight and dimensions. The gun shoots fairly accurately and has fairly decent power considering its blowback function, which does result in heavy CO2 usage. I was able to get about 3 magazines out of a CO2 cartridge. This is one of my favorite airguns because its so true to form and function. If you're a Sig Sauer fan like me, and require a solid useable pistol for gaming or just plinking, the KWC SP226-S5 should do the job well and at a very reasonable price point.

I am hoping the hop-up will keep this gun in the same accuracy zone as the 4.5mm Cybergun X-Five version, I may just have to test them head to head to find out?
