Trigger Pull: The Sig Sauer X-Five P226 exhibits a trigger pull that aligns with the characteristics of a genuine automatic pistol. In single-action mode, it is notably light and brief, complemented by the blowback action that re-cocks the hammer after each shot.

Accuracy: Remarkably precise for a BB shooter, I achieved approximately a 1-inch grouping from a freestanding position 20 feet away, utilizing this BB shooter equipped with a red dot. Testing the Cybergun Sig Sauer P226 Open version with my Chrony Chronograph revealed an 8-shot average of 343 FPS, surpassing the listed 300 FPS rating on the box.

Build Quality: Exceptional build quality defines the Cybergun Sig Sauer X-Five P226. Featuring an almost entirely metal construction, the gun carries substantial weight, and its craftsmanship is of high caliber.

Realism: The Cybergun Sig Sauer X-Five P226 closely emulates the appearance, weight, feel, and action of the authentic Sig Sauer X-Five P226. Every aspect of this gun contributes to a genuine feel, making it an ideal choice for those new to the sport as a training tool or for seasoned semi-auto shooters looking to refine their skills in situations where access to a gun range is limited.

Pros:

  • All metal construction - extremely good weight and solid feeling gun. As real as you can get in an airgun.
  • Heavy blowback action adds to the realism
  • Very accurate Sig Sauer replica
  • Really good accuracy for a BB gun (red dot helps)
  • Awesome training gun
  • Both SA & DA with excellent pull, very smooth and light
  • Field strips just like the real Sig Sauer X-Five P226
  • Mine came in with much higher FPS than claimed
  • Carries Sig Sauer licensed trademarks
  • For only $10 more you get the sight rail, compensator and rear adjustable sight

Cons:

    • Sacrifices some FPS and shots per CO2 because of the heavy blowback but worth it
    • A bit hard to load up
    • Cannot field strip without taking off the sight rail?

Comments:
This Cybergun BB pistol is styled after many modern blowback airsoft pistols, meaning it functions very similarly to the real steel. It is a hefty gun made almost entirely from metal and has a very snappy blowback action which adds to its shooting realism. Even the magazine looks and feels like a real 9mm magazine with similar weight and dimensions. The Cybergun Sig Sauer X-Five Open version shoots even more accurately than the non-sight rail version because of the addition of a Red Dot scope helping the accuracy! Both the regular version of the Sig Sauer X-Five P226 and this "Open" version are absolutely great air pistols, but for the extra $10 price tag you get some really nice additions to this pistol including an adjustable rear sight.

Great Piece of Hardware

I actually bought this pistol many many many years back before I even knew of Mike's site here and I can tell you that this thing is fantastic. It's about as close in weight, size, and scale, as you'll get to the real steel which makes it great for target practice if you actually do own the real steel version of the pistol. It even has the blowback of dialled in perfectly to the point it even fooled a few friends doing a sort of "blind" test (not literally blind - safety first, kids) compared to the real steel. I put down a lower accuracy rating because it does use a LOT of CO2 to give you that realistic blowback and so it's FPS is a bit low for my tastes and it's not able to reach as far out as you might want it to without the round dropping off. I've also had some issues where the accuracy goes all over the place when the CO2 is low - even more so than to be expected from a low cartridge. The grips might also put some people off who have smaller hands since they are flared out and bulkier than most would be and I would definitely suggest buying a spare mag or two (I'm probably going to scoop a few more up while Mike still has them in stock). Personal experience tip - keep that slide good and oiled up as well as the rest of the moving parts inside. It is completely strippable so maintenance is a breeze but take that damn sight rail off because it just looks silly with it on there with any kind of optics (in my opinion). Overall, you won't be disappointed with this thing one bit.
