Trigger Pull: Double action only but not very long with a very different feel than I am used to. The best way to describe it is that it's kind of lumpy. It starts out firm and then eases off just before it releases, like climbing a hill and then coasting down the other side.

Build Quality: The build quality is good overall. It's a mostly plastic build with internal metal parts where they need to be. It is essentially two plastic halves held together by screws with the few actual mechanical working external parts. You have the trigger with its working trigger safety, the removable magazine, magazine release, and the quick puncture CO2 screw knob. The hammer is internal. The revolver is not very heavy but it does feel solid in the hand.

Realism: The Umarex T4E TR50 is not a replica of any real steel gun that I know of. It does share a lot of similarities with the Umarex Brodax which is a CO2 BB revolver. The TR50 is basically a very modern-looking revolver. It's not going to fool anyone up close that you actually have a real steel revolver, but then again I don’t think if you are shooting it at anyone they are going to want to get all that close to you :)

Pros:

  • Revolver-style paintball gun
  • Quick piercing CO2 system with the push of a button
  • Shoots .50 caliber paintballs
  • Included sight rail for addition of top, bottom, and side Weaver accessories
  • Top and bottom accessory rails for lasers or red dot sights
  • Trigger safety prevents misfires
  • Build quality feels good, fairly beefy but not overly heavy or hard to hold

Cons:

  • Mostly all plastic build
  • Non-adjustable sights have no white dots

Comments: The Umarex T4E TR50 Paintball Revolver is an interesting paintball gun. Overseas versions are marketed as the HDR50 which stands for “Home Defense Revolver”, while the North American version is marketed as the TR50 or “Training Revolver”. This is mainly because in Europe, most countries are not allowed to own real handguns but can own “self-defense handguns”. In North America, particularly in the US, real handguns are very easy to obtain and can be used for self-defense. Just across the border here in Canada however we cannot purposely have on hand anything that we plan to use as a weapon for self-defense so the T4E TR50 Paintball Revolver is marketed as a training revolver. What’s the difference? Not much. Our North American 360 FPS version is a lot like the 7.5 joule German version in terms of power, but you can also get a more powerful 11 joule version in the UK. All that said, the Umarex T4E TR50, at least here in Canada, is made and marketed as a paintball gun but on the field it may be too powerful. What you decide to do with it is up to you!

Decent for the price

Well buit, fair price, poor sights. I added a laser and that makes a huge difference. Works great so far, but will probably upgrade to 11 joules to add more stoping power. Great transaction overall.

A pretty decent revolver.

This is a pretty decent paintball/training revolver. Handles paintballs and rubber balls nicely. This marker is fairly accurate, easy to use and fun. Maintenance is key. Use a good silicone spray and chamber oil to lubricate, and Pelgun oil on the Co2 cartridge. So far I've enjoyed firing rubber/steel mix ammo. Not the highest power yet enough to do what it needs to do. Many great videos on YouTube that may excite the purchaser of this revolver. It can be purchased for cheaper elsewhere but as a many time purchaser from Replica Airguns, I've enjoyed great customer service , thus loyalty, for me still stands. How you use this Umerex marker is up to you. Be Responsible, this is not a toy, it is a powerful piece of equipment.

HDR50

This thing is fun to shoot, easy to operate and is a pretty intimidating pistol to use in a home defense situation.

Great fun to shoot. Hits hard. Don’t expect tiny groups

Works reliably and is lots of fun. For the money can’t be beat.
