Type:BB Pistol Manufacturer:Umarex Model: HK USP Materials: Metal and Polymer Weight: 975 g (2.15 lb) Barrel: 4 Inches, Smoothbore Power Source: CO2 Action: Semi-Automatic, Single and Double Action Ammo Type: 4.5mm Steel BBs Ammo Capacity: 16 Rounds FPS: 325
Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Umarex HK USP feels good in both single and double action mode. Single action has a reduced reset with very little take-up before it releases, the trigger weigt is fairly light. In double action the trigger pull starts out a bit longer and heavier but then lightens up just before it releases. This will only be for the first shot since follow up shots will be single action regardless.
Accuracy: I placed a fresh target on my ammo trap and settled in 30 feet back using a semi-rested position. I put 10 consecutive shots into the paper target and got a nice grouping about 2 inches in total, fairly centered down the middle, but a little bit low. Since the built in Hop-up is not adjustable you will have to aim a little bit over your target, at least at 30 feet out.
Build Quality: The Umarex HK USP looks to be really well made. It's super solid at 2.15 pounds with a nice balance since the slide and magazine are both full metal. There is virtually no slide play but I am noticing just a little bit of paint wear around some of the high spots and in the breach area.
Realism: This BB Pistol is virtually identical in looks to the real steel HK USP, it also functions nearly the same with it's full blowback operation, full size drop out metal magazine and working slide catch, safety, and single/double action trigger. Thanks to Umarex the gun has full Heckler & Koch licensing.
Pros:
Full blowback action with full size drop out metal magazine
Fully field strippable
Metal parts where where you would find them on the real steal HK USP
Very accurate replica of the original HK USP
HK licensed trademarks via Umarex
White dot sights make it easy to sight in your target
Single and double action trigger
Rail for accessory attachments
Cons:
Sights are none adjustable
Warning writing on the right side of slide is a bit obvious
Not a big fan a of the clamshell packaging
Comments: I really didn't mind the previous non-blowback CO2 BB version of the HK USP as it had a full size metal magazine and metal slide making it feel great in the hand while still looking the part. That said having a full blowback version with a true single action trigger makes this the obvious choice for me.
The gun itself worked like a charm! But the magazines were not as good. I bought 2 magazines and on the first one the fastener that keeps the canister in place got so badly stripped that it's stuck with the old canister inside and is useless. The 2nd magazine on the inside, the nozzle that punctures the canister broke and can't hold gas anymore. Another thing is the metal pin where the BBs sit rubs against the metal of the magazine, so there's metal to metal contact and the pin wore down fast and can't stay put at the bottom unless it is manually held down. Other than the magazine issues, I've never had a problem with the gun itself. Very good quality!

Excellent Build quality and feel, great accuracy.
I have now had the chance to put two CO2 Cartridges through this new to my collection airgun. It has a fantastic feel in your hand based on the weight and balance. and has great realism. The accuracy was excellent and I had no problem filling beer cans with many holes at 5 metres and 10+ metres., even with shooting at the ends of the can with them taped exposing the 2 1/2" dia end only, great accuracy, white dot sights help.
This gun seems to be good as far as CO2 usage, I didn't count the number of shots but I must have filled the mag 4 times and the gun was still shooting well. It has a nice strong blowback as well, contributing to the realism. I think this gun is excellent value for the money and has a very good build quality, If you purchase this gun, you won't be disappointed in how it delivers the shooting experience.
Its hard to choose as there are so many great replica BB guns on the market and they all deliver a slightly different shooting experience, This one is right up there , especially for the money spent on it.

If you can only get one, this is the one! The greatest replica of all time!
Ok, so first off this is for the HK USP blowback (not the other HK USP non blowback which i also have and is completely a different thing which sucks and is entirely made out of plastic).
I have a fairly large collection going on and so far this HK USP hands down is the crown jewel out of my entire collection, even beating others that i have that cost twice as much, no joke! In fact i love it so much that i actually ordered a 2nd one to have as a spare backup in case these eventually disappear.
There's a reason if you take a look online at several places why these have such glowing reviews but I'll go over them here.
First off, the quality. These are extremely high quality replicas (even though if you saw one on a shelf somewhere being sold, you wouldn't know as one of the complaints that many have, which i tend to agree with, is that for such a high quality item, it comes in those stupid plastic clamshell packages, no box, no plastic hard case, would have been better if they would have charged say an extra $5-10 to include a HK branded plastic hard case for such a high quality replica in my opinion).
The weight of the pistol is pretty weighty (just like the real ones), the slide is a nice machined slide and it doesn't have that clinky cheap metal slide sound when you rack the slide and release the slide catch, it's a solid well made slide with nice details made on it like steel sights (not plastic) and a separate piece extractor (again, just like the real ones). The main recoil spring too is beefy, way much more so than any others i have, as it takes quite a bit of force to rack the slide and when you release it, it goes into battery with authority, well done (just like the real ones).
When the slide is open and held by the slide catch, the barrel is tilted slightly upward (just like the real ones), furthermore if you release the mag, you will see that the whole ejection port area is completely open (just like the real ones) which again is another nice engineering point as i have lots of other models (glock for example) that the ejection port is filled by the internals and you can't see through all the way to the mag ejection end of the pistol.
The magazine is also made out of metal and is weighty and made to look like the real one as well (minus the tip of it obviously to hold the bb's) and will freely drop when using the paddle style mag release buttons (just like the real ones).
Also to note is that when your mag runs empty, the slide will lock back on the last round (just like the real ones), letting you swap in a fresh mag (providing you have a extra mag) and continuing the fun. One point i will mention is loading the mag with bb's is a little bit of a pain but hey it can't all be perfect and i'll take it!.
Another nice point well engineered on this model that i don't see on a lot of other models, is the true DA/SA trigger (double action/single action trigger) just like the real one. Example, i load a mag and insert it but do not rack the slide, at this point the trigger mechanism is in double action mode meaning that the trigger itself is in the forward most position, the hammer is down in it's rest position, and if i wanted to pull the trigger i could but i would notice that the weight of the trigger is heavy at approximately 10lbs (just like the real ones in DA mode) and that as i slowly press the trigger the hammer also starts moving backwards into the cocked and ready to fire position until i fully press the trigger to the end in which case it fires. At this point now the trigger is now in single action mode since the slide cycled and the hammer is now cocked and the pistol is ready to fire (just like the real ones), i'll explain further below the SA trigger mode.
Now that the pistol is in SA trigger mode and ready to fire, there's another nice feature they added, you can de cock the firing mechanism (just like the real ones). At the moment, the hammer is cocked back and ready to fire from the previous step, if you press down on the safety/de-cocking lever, it will de cock the firing mechanism and the hammer will lower without firing the pistol, bringing the pistol back into double action trigger mode (just like the real ones).
Now for SA trigger mode, from the above, the pistol should have it's hammer down (which means it's currently in DA trigger mode). You have 2 choices here to put it into SA trigger mode, you can either rack the slide or you can bring down the hammer with your thumb (just like the real ones) to put it into SA trigger mode. Whats nice here is that if you look at the trigger itself while slowly moving the hammer back, you will see that the trigger itself starts moving slowly backwards until it reaches a point when you come to the end of travel on bringing the hammer down (just like the real ones). If you now press the trigger, you will notice that the trigger pull is now closer to a lighter 4lbs than it was in DA trigger mode of 10lbs (just like the real ones), again nice attention to details!
The blowback is quite strong on this one (the strongest one out of my collection so far) thanks to the previously mentioned beefy spring and solid slide which does mean it comes at the cost of extra co2 but so what when you want the most realistic experience.
All in all, they knocked it out of the park with this one! The engineers that made this model must have been given a task like "Ok guys, we want to make one model that we go all in on to make the craziest top like model we have ever come up with and demonstrate our top of the line engineering skills and to make the most realistic pistol we ever created paying attention to every detail possible and making it as close to the real deal in every way".
All i have to say is 5/5 stars in every category, a marvel of engineering in air pistols, and from me a "Bravo" and "Hats off" to the engineering team that made this one possible! If you can't tell already, i'm quite the fan of this one (like i said i ordered a 2nd one), and the only little niggle i can say is they should package it in a nice HK branded plastic hard case, even if they have to charge $10 more for it as it would complete the package!

Decent
Bought this BB gun for rodents and some fun target practicing. Had it for about a year but then the silver tab for the trigger broke and now it’s completely useless. I’m not sure if theirs a way to fix it or send it away to get fixed but before this incident it was a great little gun.

Good affordable BB gun
(Please be aware, English is my second language and there could be some grammars and wording issue/problem)
This gun is the Hi-quality gun for the price.
When I saw this gun first time on the website, it dragged me in to the 'take a look' moment.
1. Quality: The quality is very good. nice texture, nice grip, heavy enough, good blow back kick and etc.
2. Accuracy: This is the only thing that made me little bit of dissapointment, because of the accuracy. If you are about 4~5m away from the target, it goes pretty well in to the center. But as soon as you go farther than that (roughly about 8~10m), let's say you aim in the center of the target, the BB get in the left bottom side of the target, including the center. But most of the shots are pretty stayed together.
3. Wear and Tear: I shot about 9 megs with full 16 rounds. I've noticed some wear begin at the side of the top slide after 2 megs. If you are not a big fan of seeing wears, this gun may not for your interest, but guy like me who really don't care and actually I like to see some wears, it looks more natural to me. In my opinion, it will be get wear pretty fast, since it's pretty hard kick blow back.
4. CO2 Usage: I was able to use one CO2 cartridge for 3 Megs and a half, which is pretty efficient. I saw one of the comment that says, he/she only made it for one and a half meg. Seems like that person did not properly tighten a cap or tighten too much. Just snug tight should be enough. The cap is bit hard to screw it down because of the perpendicular alignment of the cartridge, but once you get used to it, it should be fine.
5. Noise: Geez... When I tried the first shot, I was freezed about 5 minutes. And thought 'wow.. it's too loud.. why did I bought this..?' lol.. It is pretty loud and could affect other tenants (if you are living in a apartment like me). I had to find the indoor shooting range just because I want to shoot. Paid $40 for 30mins. I felt very wasteful with the time, gas for the car and money. I might try to make my own noise cancel wall(?) for my unit. But I am aware of getting the noise complain in the future. I will update in the future for more details in the noise problem.
6. Reloading: Meh.. :/ It's bit hard to load the BBs in to the meg. I recommend trim your thumb nail before loading BBs. There is the notch where the thing that slide down, it's too small and hurt my thumb. And putting 1~2 BB at a time is actually pain in the bum.. I recommend to get speed loader (which is mine will be get shipped by next Tuesday or so) or good luck. Since it's 4.5mm BBs, it's actually smaller then you thought. I wish there is some kind of a slide lock in/on the meg.
7. Limited Playing Environment: Well, since the "Replica Airsofts" are prohibited in Canada (in according to Bill C-21), it is very limited to play with. And since this gun is only takes steel BBs, you can not use at the indoor/outdoor airsoft arena. Just good for shooting at the target. This gun is just good for practice and get some 'Hands On' experience. I know there is plastic 4.5mm BBs on the online market, but I don't recommend it, because the plastic might shatter inside of the barrel and make some damages. Also, the manual tells you to not so.
8. Conclusion: I know that I gave 4 out of 5, but if I could give stars out of 10, I would give 7/10. Noise, Steel BBs only, Limited Playing Environment took 3 points away :(.. But if you are looking for just have some fun by your self or get 'Hand On' experience, this gun is good to go for you, especially if you are new to "Airsoft" hobby.
Thanks for read such a long review, but if you got some help from my review, I am very pleasure to you :)

Awesome pistol!!
-This pistol is simply amazing. As soon as I got it I shot off 4 co2 cartridges and the accuracy is of this pistol is right on the dot.
-For the first 2 magazines I was shooting 3-4 inch groupings at 30' ft. But for the next few, once I got a little used to the feel of the pistol in my hand, and where to sight in on the target, I was shooting 2" groupings at the same 30'ft.!!
-Plus the price for this pistol is a lot less than it's worth. This pistol is an exact replica of the 9mm ACP.
-This is the 3rd pistol I've owned now. The first 2 are no comparison to the USP. The last one I bought was the Umarex 9XP Blowback Pistol (purchased somewhere else, first mistake).
-As soon as I fought to get it out of the packaging and racket the slide I was totally disappointed with it. The slide was loose and it sounded like it was made of tin.
-Almost $100.00 for the 9XP when it was all said and done.
-In my opinion the HK USP is worth a lot more than it retails for. It is so realistic I still can't believe it.
-I've owned a 9mm and a .45 ACP in the past and I have to say that the USP is made just as good as the real thing.
-Do yourself a favour and buy one of these amazing HK USP pistols while you can before retailers realize that they are worth a lot more than they retail for now.
-I promise you won't be disappointed!!

Old USP pistol
I bought this pistol a number of years back, Still one of my favorites'. I have it setup with a laser and extra magazines. Recently I i purchased a Raven X concealed carry holster rig which it fits in very well, even with the laser attached.

Fantastically realistic co2 rendition of the USP
This is a really nice gas blowback pistol. Anyone who picked it up would assume they had just picked up the 'real' licensed firearm from Heckler & Koch. The blowback usp is up there in terms of my favorite pistol, like I'm debating whether it's my no.1 favorite or not, hard to say with premium licensed guns like the "Umarex" (VFC) 4gen Glock 17 (long time fav) laying around my crib haphazardly. If the Gen 4 G17 was my waifu, then this USP would be one of my mistresses.
The gun feels hefty in a good and sturdy kind of way (like a real pistol should be). The slide doesn't sound like clanky chineseium either, it has a heavy definite blowback and has an equally heavy return.
Zero noticeable sloppy slide / slide wobble. Everything is very sound. I put a cheap flashlight/red laser combo on the 'Accessory rail, which btw is not the same as the standard picatiny rail like 90% of modern firearms used; atleast until the M-LOK modular rail system hit the scene (now it seems to me its about 70/30 +/- picatiny/mlok).
The gun is loud for an airgun and although I have not personally put a Chrony to It It certainly feels like it's in the +400 fps area. The trigger pull is very smooth and crisp im double action and in single action specifically it has a nice and short pull.
Another feature I really like is the decocking lever and the manner in which it is operated. The lever has three settings; move upwards it places the gun in safety, you can pull the trigger all day and nothing happens although the trigger does move, moved in the middle position and parallel with the slide is the fire selection, and when you move the lever down from the fire position it effortlessly but decisively decodes the pistol to am intermediate halfway cooked position. Whether or not that make this gun triple action we may never know, but the functioning cocking leaver on the rear moves to a halfway cooked position making it half as hard to pull the trigger as is in double action. I really like this feature. It's a satisfying and solid feeling clunk right in the center of the gripped mass of the palm of my hand.
10 out 5
Next purchase will probably be another HK. Unless Umarex drops a g18c for sale in Canada that is.
I would definitely recommend this gun to my friends.

Great, awesome, solid
I had been eyeballing this one for a while, every since I laid my eyes on it. Now that I own it, it's just a great replica. Shoots amazing, realism is just awesome. Solid build, quality is off the roof. Accuracy is on point.
