Note: The following details are about the KWC non-licensed variation of the Legends P-08.

Trigger Pull: The KWC P-08 Luger CO2 Blowback BB Pistol features an exceptional Single Action Only trigger. It offers a very brief initial movement followed by a smooth, light release. The action is concise, facilitating quick and consistent successive shots. As a single-action mechanism without an external hammer, the first shot requires manual toggling to chamber a BB and cock the hammer. Subsequent shots are automatically readied by the blowback action, with the toggle locking back when the magazine empties.

Accuracy: The KWC P-08 Luger tends to fire slightly high, about 3 inches above the target at 30 feet. With fixed sights, I compensated by aiming lower. The pistol shot accurately from left to right. At 30 feet, my 10-shot grouping was impressively tight, with most shots within a 1-inch area, and only three shots slightly widening the group to around 2.5 inches.

Build Quality: This nearly all-metal KWC P-08 Luger CO2 Blowback BB Pistol is solidly constructed, weighing approximately 1.84 pounds, closely mirroring the real Luger's weight of 1.92 pounds. The grips and gas tube are the only plastic components. Typical of KWC firearms, the pistol features a powder-coated finish that looks superb but may show wear on higher friction areas.

Realism: The KWC P-08 Luger is an impressively faithful replica of the original Luger P-08, mirroring its operational parts and field-stripping capability. The finish, though slightly darker than ideal, is the only aspect that slightly diverges from the classic blued look of the original.

Pros:

  • Hefty blowback toggle action with a lock-back on the last shot.
  • Substantial metal construction with a weight comparable to the real Luger.
  • Satisfactory FPS and precision.
  • Faithfully replicates the real Luger P-08, complete with functional components.
  • Exceptionally light and crisp single-action trigger.
  • Capable of being field-stripped.
  • Available in both 4.5mm Steel BB and 6mm Plastic Airsoft versions.

Cons:

  • Paint wear is noticeable in areas of high contact, a common trait in KWC firearms.
  • Fixed sights, shooting slightly higher than the point of aim.
  • The black paint finish could be more authentic with a grey or blue hue.

Comments:

KWC's addition to the lineup of classic, ultra-realistic pistols is commendable. It's exciting to see more historical firearms being replicated by various manufacturers. KWC enhances the experience by incorporating blowback action and a full-size, metal CO2 and BB magazine. The option to choose between 4.5mm Steel BB or 6mm Plastic Airsoft variants adds to its appeal. For Luger enthusiasts seeking the utmost in realism, KWC's Luger P-08 is the top choice.

Good for price

Very realistic weight and action 5/5 would recommend buying, also great shipping and service ordered a BB gun from a site in my own province a few days prior and got the one from replica days before the original own arrived

Umarex Luger PO8 is one my top three pistols!

This is an exceptional replica of the Luger PO8. Very solidly constructed. The toggle action functions flawlessly so far and it is of course so unique, unlike an other pistol. Holds well in the hand and shoots accurately. My only negative comment is it is a CO2 hog. Can get two magazines for sure, but I have yet to make it through three full mags. That said, this pistol is so well constructed it is difficult to fault it. As a world war replica, it is almost impossible to top it.

Very Realistic replica

I agree with much of what has already been said. What I can add, being the lucky owner of a real Luger is that this is an excellent replica. It strips and feels very like the real thing. The grip of the Umarex is ever so slightly thicker, presumably to accommodate the CO2 cartridge. And yes it could look a bit more real in terms of being blued rather than matt black and the grips could look a bit like dirty wood instead of black plastic. But if you want the feel of the real thing in your hand I heartily recommend this replica.

Excellent Replica

This was a great replica, I would definitely recommend it. I haven't really been testing it for accuracy so thats why its at 3 stars, but im sure if i actually put some effor into it, it would be an excellent shooter. Build quality is fantastic, and the gun runs like a champ. I haven't faced any issues as some other customers have, i guess only time will tell.

Happy

Nice replica, right weight, authentic look, handle could be brown, works fine. But eats CO2 very fast! I can go through one clip and it's out by half of the second one, pretty disappointing! Anyhow, it's worth the money!

Beautiful but it's what's inside that wasn't there

Let me first just say it now works, but the fact that I have to disassemble the unit just to get the mag release to properly catch is insane. It started with my first shot, first the mag was locked in and I had to put a decent amount of force to get it out, but it when I shot the toggle, it locked back and co2 liquid spurted on me and my friend. Oh and the mag flew out so after the disassembly tightening a few screws it now works properly and might I just say it is amazing. I love it almost as much as my m712 I would recommend it with caution, if your a gun nut and understand very basic engineering.

Authentic

This gun is so authentic its hard to believe. I have only a few comments otherwise. Again, grips could be made of thicker plastic and brown, and the metal parts a blue finish or maybe black chrome like the Walther P38. Would have liked to see some more original markings. Well worth the money just the same. Haven't shot it yet though-you must enter a value for accuracy in the reviews so I just entered a 5.

pretty remarkable replica

. . .such an iconic pistol. I could hardly wait to order the Luger p08 blowback. When you realize just how complex the internal operations of this gun are; when you consider the fact that Umarex has gone to such a great deal of trouble to replicate every one of those functions; you cannot help but be impressed with this pistol. I have since added post market wood grips (lots of work with a Dremel to make that little project fly -but well worth it) and refinished with cold blue. Very few disappointments here. I have noticed however, that if I over-lube (which I am inclined to do) the pistol will fire in full auto - which as many of you will attest to; is not as much fun as it sounds - but particularly when you are not expecting it. I would have LOVED to have seen the option of brown wood grips offered - more in keeping with the original pistol, a fully enclosed magazine ( I realize that this would have meant widening the grips somewhat) and perhaps a blued finish option - picky, picky - I know. This is a pretty awesome replica none-the-less . . . I just know that I am not the only grown-up that refuses to 'grow up', and can afford - and would be more than willing to pay - for the extras. I feel that I got that with the Dan Wesson 715 and the Webley service revolver- lets see them do the same for the Colt Python and the Luger.
