Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on this gun is light to medium, in single action mode when the hammer is pre-cocked, the trigger is nice and light and easy to predict. When shooting double action the trigger first cocks the hammer and then near the end there is a break point where the hammer releases.

Accuracy: This was my second time shooting this gun at a target from 20 feet out free standing and again the Makarov performed well. The ability to shoot in single action, definitely helps with the accuracy.

Build Quality: Being an all metal gun (mostly all metal), makes the gun feel solid and sturdy. The only plastic parts I could find on the Umarex Makarov where the grips and the safety lever. The painted finish is nice but maybe a bit on the glossy side.

Realism: The Umarex Makarov is a licensed replica of the Makarov PM 9x18 Russian military and police pistol. It is a very close copy in both looks and feel.

Comments: This is another low cost replica air gun from Umarex designed for the more entry level buyer. It's actually a very well made all metal gun complete with the Makarov licensing and trademarks. There is a lot to like about the Umarex Makarov, it's accurate, has decent fps, uses good materials, has a working slide and all at a very affordable price.

Fun

I bought this one and was eager to try it out. As it is was winter and I live in Canada, the outside air temperatures were low. (Between -10 and 0 degrees Celsius.) I put mag after mag through this product in the cold weather. Mind you, between shots I had it in my jacket. Also, I had it in a +5 environment for storage. Eventually, with 6 mags through (108 rounds) I ejected the C02 for more permanent storage. AFTER 108 ROUNDS FIRED IN LOW TEMPERATURES, I DID NOT NOTICE ANY NOTICEABLE DROP IN FPS! This is unlike my Umarex G18 Gen3, where it will fall away after 3 mags (48 rounds). In the cold, the dual action trigger mechanism seemed... "sticky." To compensate, I found racking the slide and going to single action worked much better. As for the slide itself, it is sloppy side to side. Theoretically this could throw the accuracy off. It didn't. Words cannot explain accuracy. First, it is more accurate than my G18 Gen3 and far more accurate than my Crosman Winchester 1911. It is actually quite astounding for me. I'm not sure how anyone could expect more accuracy out of a little BB pistol (especially a short smooth bore), but I don't own every BB pistol either. I love it. It is a steal! I paid WAY less than I did for my G18 Gen3 and my Crosman 1911. Despite the quality being lower than those, I like it so much better.

First Pistol

This was the first pistol I have gotten that was BB. Turns out to be really worth the money! The only cons are that the slide is a little bit loose, but won't be a problem. The slide can be slid back despite that it's not blowback. It also uses a stick mag which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I have dropped it more than five times just trying to reload it.

Very cool

I haven't boughten the airsoft gun yet but i absolutely love airsoft and makarov's are awesome and so from what I see they have good review's and its really good so yeah >:)

Mostly good, minor flaws.

Shoots well, and the trigger pull is fine, if a little crunchy out of the box, though that might get better in time. The slide is extremely rattly and loose, which is distracting when you shoot. Overall good, just wish the slide assembly was better. *EDIT* Upon further inspection, the safety came non functional as well. Truly a shame.

Pretty good copy

I used real Makarov for 7 years of work in the police and I can say that this is a pretty good copy. Power and accuracy at short distances are pretty good. It is full metal and I like it.

Makarov

The finish on this pistol is reminiscent of a bathroom sink ! It is porcelain ! I would like to have had a blued finish ! Perhaps in future productions ..

Tough and Durable

Bought this expecting a cheap air gun but it wasn’t anything but. The metal construction, the accuracy at range, the FPS, the rust proof powder coat paint, the metal magazines, and the moving slide just blows my mind and for the price! Easy to dissemble and easy to take completely apart and service, it’s hard to tell it’s even an a BB gun from the right angle. The Co2 Tab at the bottom isn’t a big deal for collectors because I’ve bought a hidden screw of EBay meant for this gun to add to the cool-Factor
